On days when she wakes up to oily hair...

There are days when we wake up to a good hair day and then there are days when we wake up with an oily scalp and little time in hand. Don’t know about you but Niki sure has her hair care tips in place, “I usually opt for a top knot but I’m also a sucker for braids so you will see me in all kinds of braided hairdos on days when I feel my hair looks oily. Also at times, I use a bandana to cover my hair. But when it comes to a product, I rely on dry shampoo for days when I’m running late or too lazy to wash my hair.”
On days when her hair lacks volume...

Yes, you go green with envy seeing those girls in commercials flaunting lustrous, voluminous hair while your life is all about fighting lifeless and flat hair on most days. Niki shares her hair hack to fix this problem, “I usually steer clear of hair styling but on days when my hair feels flat and I need that boost of volume, I blow dry it. I also back comb my hair to give it extra volume and to cover up areas that look oily.”
On days when her curls go out of control...

Your hair hasn’t been behaving and it’s slowly starting to resemble a nest, isn’t it? Curly hair girls, we know that battling your type of hair problems are far from easy. Hear it from Niki who has a mix of wavy and curly hair, “My hair hack is always a tail comb. In fact, I don’t use regular combs. A tail comb not only helps me tame my hair but the other end of it helps me detangle my curls easily.”
On days when she feels her hair needs that extra hydration...

The weather can be rather unforgiving when it comes to hair. All the humidity and pollution can easily take the moisture away from your hair. But all of this hardly deters Niki from flaunting her gorgeous tresses. “If I really had to give out a hair hack for hydrated hair, it would be my hair mask. I use a mix of1 one egg, 3 tablespoons of yoghurt and 1 teaspoon coconut oil. I beat this together and apply it on my hair while leaving it for 20 minutes. I do this once a week.”
On days when she battles frizz...

Monsoons mean having to battle frizz and boy, can that be difficult or what! While it sure isn’t easy, Niki says that with a little TLC, winning over frizz is easily achievable. “I usually suffer from a lot of frizz and breakage during the monsoons. So I regularly indulge in hair spas that keep my hair in good condition. When I’m not going to a hair spa, I rely on a DIY—I apply oil (leave it for not more than 45 minutes) and then take a towel, dip it in hot water, rinse the towel and apply it to my oiled hair. This is like a natural steam for the hair. This hair care tip restores moisture and helps your hair stay rejuvenated.”
On days when she fights post workout hair...

Let’s face it—nobody’s hair looks lustrous and stunning after a workout. We’re left with a greasy scalp and limp hair. Niki suggests you try her hair hack to fix this one, “I usually go to the gym and tie my hair into a bun or a braid. When I come back, my hair feels greasy so I let it air dry. But if I have little time in hand to get ready for a party, I take the easy route by blow drying it.”
