Monsoons bring with them a host of hair problems, one of them being an itchy scalp. The high level of humidity and rain water can cause several infections. This can get aggravated due to lack of hygiene and further dirt settling on to the hair during this season. This is when you suffer from dandruff issues, dry skin and other kinds of hair woes, which can cause severe itchiness in your scalp. Want to know how you can beat this problem? Read on to find out.

Banana and avocado mix
Banana contains conditioning properties, which means this fruit has the ability to rid your scalp of flakes, inflammation and dryness, all of which are common occurrences when you’re suffering from an itchy scalp. Moreover, avocado will give your hair smoothness and a natural sheen. To make this, just mash and mix up banana and avocado and rub this onto your scalp. Keep this for about 30 minutes and rinse off.

Olive oil and mayonnaiseWe’ve all loved these two ingredients and items in our food, right? It’s time to feed them to your hair if you want to get rid of an itchy scalp. Both olive oil and mayonnaise will act as moisturisers and condition your hair. Olive oil contains Vitamin E, which is known for its moisturising qualities. To make this, take equal quantities of these two and blend into a paste. Rub this on your scalp and rinse off.

Apple cider vinegar
Apple cider vinegar has anti-inflammatory properties that can kill germs and yeast that cause an itchy scalp. Moreover, it also balances the pH level of the scalp to get rid of dryness.
Mix equal amounts of apple cider vinegar and water and apply to the scalp. Let this sit for 20 minutes and wash off with shampoo and conditioner.
