Lemon and Tea Tree Oil Rinse for flaky scalp
You will need:
4 tablespoons of freshly squeezed lemon juice
5 drops of tea tree oil
3 cups of hot water
To the hot water, add the lemon juice and tea tree oil.
Pour it into your hair, massage your scalp and rinse it out.
You can repeat a few more times if you wish.
Similar to lemon juice, the tea tree oil will unclog blocked follicles in your scalp and promote hair growth. Since it also has antiseptic and antibacterial properties, it helps to fight infection.
Precaution: Since lime juice also tends to dry out your hair, make sure to use very little and not keep your rinse as concentrated. Lemon rinses are least suited for coloured hair since they make highlights run faster.
Apple Cider Vinegar for an itchy scalp
You will need:
1/3rd cup of apple cider vinegar
2/3rd cup of warm water
Mix the apple cider vinegar with warm water and stir the mixture
Pour the mixture in your hair and let it sit for about five minutes.
Massage it into your scalp and rinse it off.
The apple cider vinegar attacks the hair bacteria that cause dry skin and an itchy scalp. In addition, it will also add a glossy sheen to your hair and soften its texture. An added advantage is that it’ll get rid of the detergent remnants that ordinary shampoos might leave back in your hair.

1 cup hot water
Into the hot water, add the mint and rosemary leaves and lemon juice.
Stir it occasionally and let it sit for ten minutes.
Once the juices from the leaves have been absorbed into the water, strain the mixture and apply it to your hair as a rinse.
Like all other rinses, massage it into your scalp and rinse off after a few minutes.
