Having a bad hair day? Not washed your strands? Afraid of the monsoon frizz? Well, put your fears to rest as the easiest do of all takes centre stage at the red carpet. Say hello to the pony braid.
What exactly is a pony braid you ask? Well, the name itself is pretty self explanatory, but if you do need a bit more information, shortly put, it is a pony tail that has then been plaited into a braid. Simple.

So how do you do it?
Just scoop all your hair and tie it up in a rubber band at the nape of your neck or higher up at the back of your head. Then braid the rest of your hair loosely or tight depending on your look. Fasten the end with another band. That’s it.

For a finishing touch, apply serum or hair spray to give the flyaways some direction. You can then dress this up with clips, hairbands or anything else that suits your fancy.
The best part about this hairstyle is that it can work from day to night, lending a casually sophisticated look to your ensemble, as you can see from the many celebs donning it on the red carpet.

Play with the parting and the style of braid for versatility and fun.
