Apart from chopping your hair, an easy way to get a makeover and majorly transform your look is to colour your hair. Colouring your hair provides that hard-to-miss makeover without looking OTT. The right hair colour can make you look fab, but a wrong shade can completely ruin your look.
Hence obviously, choosing a hair colour is no simple task, especially for us girls with an Indian skin tone. The colours that work well with pale skin tones usually end up looking too stark on us. To help clear this dilemma once and for all, we decided to curate a list of hair colours that look beautiful on each and every skin tone. Read on and gear up to flaunt the hair colour of your dreams.
Brown

This is perhaps one of the most common and sought after hair colours, and we know why. Various shades of brown hair colour look really beautiful and they complement Indian skin tones beautifully. This hair colour is versatile and comes in so many shades that it is the number one choice for a lot of people, celebrities included. This is a hair colour shade you should especially try if you are a hair colour virgin, and want a hair makeover without going too OTT.
Burgundy

If there is one hair colour after brown that is very sought after, then it has to be burgundy. The combination of red and purple is what makes this hair colour extremely unique, especially on olive or dusky girls. This stunning hair colour has very often been seen on famous Bollywood celebs such as Katrina Kaif and Saiyami Kher, and we really think that you should consider giving this one a try the next time.
Red

Believe it or not, red hair complements Indian skin tones very well. Red beautifully brings out the warmth in our skin tones and makes our skin look more radiant. But the problem with this hair colour is that red tends to not show up on our natural hair colour and requires our hair to be bleached. This can dry out our strands and make them brittle. If you have naturally thin or weak locks, then it is best to steer away from this colour.
