How to: Textured half-up top knot

Half up half down hairstyles are super versatile. Apart from making you look chic and oh-so-stylish, they do a great job at covering up greasy roots too; a literal saviour on bad hair days.

Want to learn how to create a fuss-free half-up topknot? Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you ace it…

You will need:

This is a really simple hairstyle and does not need a lot of products. All you need is a hair straightener, heat protectant spray, texturizing spray, a rubber band and some bobby pins.

How to:

Step 01: To achieve a messy and textured half up half down hairdo, start by styling your hair in loose curls

Step 02: Spray generous amounts of texturizing spray to keep the curls in place

Step 03: Next, gather half of your hair from the crown area and tie it in a ponytail

Step 04: Secure it in place with the help of a rubber band, but refrain from pulling the pony through the final loop

Step 05: Loosen the ponytail, remove a few strands, do whatever you like, basically just make it look messy!

And voila! You’ve got yourself a textured half-up topknot.
