Liquid lipsticks are game-changers! They provide precise application and don’t budge or smudge, making them a must-have in every girl’s vanity. But despite having been on the beauty circuit for a while now, a lot of girls struggle with applying liquid lipstick.
If your lipstick tends to settle into the dry and fine lips on your lips, then you’re definitely doing something wrong. But fret not, ladies! We’re going to help you nail the liquid lipstick application in a few easy steps. Here’s a complete guide on how to apply liquid lipstick like a pro. Check it out…

Step 01: Start with exfoliating your lips using a gentle lip scrub. This will get rid of dead skin cells and make your lips smooth and plump.
Step 02: The matte formula of the liquid lipsticks can be a little drying on your lips; that’s why it’s imperative to use a hydrating lip balm like Vaseline Lip Therapy Vitamin E - Original before applying the lipstick. Wait for a couple of minutes to allow the lip balm to absorb completely (or you can apply the rest of your makeup) before moving onto the next step.
Step 03: Next, line your lips using a lip liner like the Lakme Absolute 3D Lip Liner. Pick a shade that’s closest to the natural colour of your lips. Once you’re done lining the lips, fill in the rest of the lips using the lip liner. This even out any discolouration and provide your liquid lipstick with a nice base to cling onto.
Step 04: Next, pick any shade of your choice from the Lakme Absolute Matte Melt Mini Liquid Lip Color and start applying it from the centre of your lips (not from the edges). This makes tracing the shape of your lips easier and makes your pout appear a lot fuller.
Step 05: As a final touch, to give your lips more definition and clean up messy edges, use a concealer. Take a little bit of concealer on a flat brush and apply it to the edges of your lips, and voila! You’ve aced the liquid lipstick application.
