Where to apply blush according to your face shape

The first rule of makeup is that there are no rules! Whether is it eyebrow shapes or contouring, one size does not fit all. Did you know it is the same with your blush as well? Depending on your face shape, you can apply blush at certain points on your face to flatter your particular face shape.

Scroll down to find out where to apply blush to suit your face shape!

Square face shape

Balance the edges of your face shape by placing the blush on the apple of your cheeks and blending it in circular motions with your brush.

Oval face shape

For oval face shapes, place the blush at the centre of your cheekbones, a few centimetres away from the side of your nose and blend outwards.

Round face shape

Since you have a round face shape, make your blush appear in an angular shape. Start at a point just below your cheekbones and blend it upwards and outwards.

Long face shape

If you have a long face, place the blush directly below the centre of your eyes and blend it outward in a slight semi-circle or a straight line.

For this face shape, place your blush just below and towards the outer edge of the apples of your cheeks and blend outwards and upwards towards your hairline.

Pro tip: For blush that lasts all day, after you apply foundation, apply a cream blush, blending it with your fingertips. Then set this with a setting powder and top it off with a powder blush in the same shade range as the cream blush.
