Think lighter this summer

If you’ve ever felt your skin being weighed down with products in the sweltering heat of summer, Daniel suggests that you turn to serum instead. The liquid consistency of serum makes it light enough to blend in the skin easily while absorbing quicker. This means nourished, glowing skin without any oily residue!
Make warm tones your safe net
If you’ve ever had a moment of panic about matching your makeup, in most cases, warm tones always work. Whether your skin tone is wheatish or dusky, Daniel recommends warm tones like browns, peaches, bronzes and golds as they match most complexions. They are easy to sport and look polished, which makes it a no-fail trick when getting dolled up.
Practice makes perfect

No matter how tedious red lipstick application may be or how precise your cat eyeliner may need to be drawn, no one gets it right on the first try. The perfect pout without smears and the sharp eyeliner wings takes constant practice to eventually bring about a habit of it. Take heart that consistently practising your makeup application in front of the mirror will have you stepping out like a diva in no time!
Subdued shimmer reigns high
We’ve seen glitz and glamour on the runway but Daniel predicts that subdued shimmer will be having a moment this season. We’re talking highlighted skin, glitzy eyes and shimmering lips. The trend is also wearable enough on a daily basis so who doesn’t love a little extra sprinkle of sparkle in their lives!
Don’t fear colour

While eyes are often painted in stark black, don’t be afraid to get a little experimental by adding a touch of colour to them. Opt for a vibrant purple eyeshadow, a smokey bronze eye makeup look or even a swipe of metallic green. Life is too short to wear all black so we might as well make it bright with a pop of colour while we’re at it!
