It’s that time of the year when you put your best clothes on and your best face forward. And that only means you need a brand new festive makeup look. Still confused as to how to get it right? Worry not! We got Aanam Chashmawalla to show you an Indian festive makeup look that’s super easy to recreate. All you need to do is follow these steps and you’ll have all the compliments rolling in.
Step 1: Moisturise and Prime
Start by prepping your face with the Vaseline Cocoa Glow Moisturising Cream and Lakmé Absolute Blur Perfect Makeup Primer. This will keep your face healthy and hydrated.
Step 2: Foundation
Next, apply foundation to create a good base for your face. Always make sure to match your foundation with the shade of your neck. This Lakmé 9 to 5 Weightless Mousse Foundation has a really nice and soft mousse-y texture, which means you won’t have to take too much effort to blend it in.
Step 3: Concealer
Apply concealer to cover those dark circles and blemishes. Use the Lakmé Absolute White Intense Liquid Concealer SPF 25 as it gives a smooth and flawless finish. It’s also infused with skin brightening and hydrating properties and contains SPF 25, which is an added bonus
Step 4: Setting powder
Next step is to set that base in with some loose powder. The Lakmé Rose Face Powder is so finely milled that it’s perfect to not just set, but also to bake your highlight areas. You can use a little bit extra below your contour area, around your under eyes as well as around your mouth to make sure it gives that little brightening pop.
Step 5: Brows
Define your brows with the Lakmé Absolute Precision Eye Artist Eyebrow Pencil. Use short light strokes to mimic your natural hair and fill in any sparse areas. Also, choose a colour that matches your brows.
Step 6: Blush
Time to add some colour to your cheeks. The Lakmé Absolute Face Stylist Blush Duos is perfect to give you that youthful glow. Apply it to the apples of your cheeks and then blend it towards the hairline.
Step 7: Lipstick
Before you go over to the eyeshadow, go ahead and add some lipstick.
The Lakmé Absolute Matte Revolution Lip Color is perfect for a one-stroke application. It's super opaque, at the same time very moisturising too.
Step 8: Eyeshadow
Add some colour to my eyes with this Lakmé Absolute Illuminating Eye Shadow Palette - French Rose. Start with a dark brown eyeshadow on the outer corner of your lids. Blend the colour well towards the centre of the eyelids. Next, take a golden colour and apply it to the inner corner. Blend everything together for a seamless finish.
Step 9: Kajal, liner and mascara
For the last couple of touches, use some kajal, liner and mascara to define your eyes a little bit more.
Step 10: Highlighter
To finish off the look and add some glam, use the highlighter across all the high points of your face.
