Everyone that has a job will agree that in the midst of a whole lot of papers, disposable cutlery and some other random things, we all have a secret stash of certain items we just can’t do without even at work!
It could be hot chocolate sachets we stole from the coffee machine, gazillion ketchup packets and oregano sachets from a takeaway restaurant or just some half opened biscuits or chips.
I’ll be honest; I have all these items stuffed in different drawers in my office cupboards, but amongst all this I also have a few products I just can’t live without, I mean come on who knows when there might be the need for a torch when the lights go out or a pair of socks for when I get cold. On a serious note though, it’s important to have a few things that can help you salvage or amp up your look whenever you need.
Here are a couple of beauty items you will always find in my office drawer...
Vaseline

This blue jar is no less than a super product, Use it to moisture your hands or lips, add some gloss to your lids or cheekbones or use it to tame your baby hair. I don’t think there’s any problem that Vaseline can’t solve. I suggest buy a mini pack and put it everywhere; car, office desk, purse…
Cleansing wipes

Cleansing wipes are also great multipurpose products. I usually use them to just wipe my face to feel fresh or to remove my makeup. They are super easy to store and extremely user friendly. I use the Simple Kind to Skin Cleansing Facial wipes. Simple is great brand if you’re looking for something that works with all skin types’ especially sensitive skin.
Sunscreen

If you’re the kind that needs to keep going for meetings or just spend time outdoors sunscreen is a must and hence have* one on your desk at work is essential. It’s also important to understand that sunscreen is to be applied even while indoors, so keep one handy to reapply every 4-5 hours. The Ponds Sun Protect Non-Oily Sunscreen SPF 30 is a new product I recently started trying and it works well for me!
Lipstick and Kajal

Just applying a bright lip colour saves me from a bad day at work! I always have a couple of lipsticks (2-3) of different shades. You can do one nude and one bright one in case you need to step out for dinner or drinks directly after work. Kajal is also super important to just add some drama to your eyes if you have plans after.
Moisturiser

With the blasting air conditioning on all the time, even your warm fuzzy jacket can’t help you from having dry skin. I always have moisturiser on my desk to apply on my hands and legs. (P.S you don’t want to be wearing a dress or a sleeveless top with dry elbows and knees).Dove Rich Nourishment Cream is a favourite and I always have an extra tub at home in case I run out.
