Yoghurt and cucumber

Grate half a cucumber and add to it two tablespoons of thick yoghurt and one teaspoon of besan or gramflour. After cleansing your face with water, apply this scrub evenly on your face. Leave it on for about 15 minutes. Once it’s dry, dampen your skin with water and start massaging your face in upward, circular motions. This will exfoliate the skin, ridding it of dead skin and grime. The lactic acid in yoghurt will help tighten pores while the cucumber will reduce tanning and refresh the skin.
Honey and aloe vera

Take some fresh aloe vera gel and add to it one tablespoon of raw honey and one teaspoon of lemon. Blend well and apply to your skin. Leave this on your skin for about 10 minutes and rinse off. Honey is a natural emollient that protects against dryness while the aloe vera gel is known for anti-inflammatory properties. The lemon will effectively take off any traces of grime, leaving your skin squeaky clean
Oatmeal and milk

Oats contain saponins which are compounds that work as natural cleansing agents. This make oats the perfect addition to your scrub as it'll rid your pores of excess oil and dirt. Here’s what you can do: take some oats, blend together and store in an airtight jar. Every time you want to wash your face, add some milk to this powder and apply to your face. While the oats will scrub off all the grime, the milk will moisturise and nourish the skin.
Almonds and cream

Grind a handful of almonds into a smooth paste by adding a few tablespoons of milk. Apply this to your face and leave on for 10-15 minutes. Rinse off with lukewarm water. This scrub works especially well if you have dry skin. The coarse texture of the ground almonds will exfoliate the skin without drying it out, while the milk will nourish.
