Fact: Pineapples are rich in alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs), which can boost the production of collagen and slow down your skin’s ageing process.
How to: Extract the juice of a pineapple, take it on a cotton ball and apply it to your face. Rinse it off in five minutes (don’t leave it on for too long since the acids in the pineapple can burn your skin.)

Fact: The coarse nature of the pineapple works as a natural scrub to get rid of dead skin cells.
How to: Cut a slice of pineapple and divide it into four parts. While showering, rub it all over your body the way you would use a loofah. Rinse off. You’ll notice that your skin feels exfoliated and super soft.

Fact: Pineapple is a natural acne fighting agent.
How to: Apply pineapple juice or a wedge of pineapple onto the affected area and leave it on for just a few minutes. The enzyme bromelain in the pineapple is an anti-inflammatory agent that starts acting immediately to dry out acne.
(This is a remedy for a cure, not prevention.)

Fact: Pineapples hydrate skin.
How to: Like most fruits, pineapples too are a natural hydrating agent that replenishes your skin from the inside. Three tablespoons of pineapple juice when mixed with one egg yolk and two tablespoons of milk make for an excellent natural hydrating mask.

Fact: Pineapples flush out toxins.
How to: Thanks to its rich fiber content, pineapples cleanse and help in the functioning of the digestive tract. Since it’s also a diuretic, it aides in keeping a tab on the health of your kidney – the organ responsible for flushing out toxins from your body.
