Promise to moisturise

Remember that your skin is going to be extremely sensitive during this period. So while you may have used special skin drying lotions/topical treatments before to treat your acne prone skin, now all that is out. What your skin needs is something as mild as possible. Make sure you moisturise your skin because it will need all the hydration possible but while you do that, don’t scrub or rub. We suggest using a light moisturiser like the Lakmé Peach Milk Moisturiser that locks in moisture for as much as 12 hours. Gently apply this moisturiser to your skin every single day.
Don’t even think of skipping <a href="https://www.bebeautiful.in/all-things-skin/everyday/need-to-know-about-spf">SPF</a>

Remember that sun can cause some serious damage to your skin. And in this case, when you step out, remember you’re exposing immature cells to UV rays. It’s going to burn your skin in no time! This is why you need to ensure you apply sunscreen every time before stepping out. We suggest using the Lakmé Sun Expert UV Lotion SPF 50 PA+++. This shields your skin against 97% UVB rays that can cause sunburns while the PA+++ saves your skin from UVA rays.
Don’t peel your skin

Dealing with skin peeling after a chemical peel can be tough; mostly because your skin will constantly peel physically and you will be tempted to touch it and peel it off. Do not do that! This is a natural process and peeling your skin while it’s coming off can cause scarring.
Don’t touch your face

Some chemical peel treatments can cause redness and remember that it is bound to happen. If you have a tendency to touch your face, this is the worst time to do that because your skin is super sensitive since it is still in the shredding process. Let it shred and keep in mind that it will take at least 10 days to shred completely.
Do not exfoliate

If you were using a scrub as a part of your skin care regime, remember that this is the time to stay away from it. A scrub will disturb the peeling and in fact, cause harm to your skin at this point because of its abrasive nature. A moisturiser and sunscreen are all the skin care must-haves post a chemical peel.
