For oily skin
Controlling excess oil is what you should focus on. Snacking on fresh, seasonal fruits like pineapple that contain Vitamin C and antioxidants can improve your complexion while preventing acne. Get into the habit of having a bowl of leafy, dark green vegetables (spinach or kale) that are rich in fibre and can keep your digestive system in top condition. Sprinkle some fresh herbs like basil, rosemary, ginger and oregano on your sabzi everyday as it has high levels of anti-inflammatory agents and antioxidants that help aide an oily complexion.

For dry/sensitive skin
Redness and irritation levels are major problems of those with dry/sensitive skin. Reduce it by an intake of Omega-9 fatty acids which is present in fish, dry fruits and fruits such as avocados. Give your skin a boost of antioxidants and vitamins by adding raspberries, goji berries and hazelnuts that can help fight free radicals in the body. Steer clear of dairy products and sugary foods as they inflame skin.

For skin that’s prone to acne
The root cause of your skin condition is a bad internal system. Start your day by drinking fresh lemon juice. Eat high fibre fruits like apples as they contain carbohydrate compound pectin, that helps your colon eliminate toxins and strengthen the intestinal lining (and that ensures a clean digestive system—the root of acne). Consuming seaweed on a daily basis will soothe redness and painful pimples with its anti-inflammatory properties.
