Sure, there’s a lot you can do externally to your skin for that added glow, but most of what you put in your body is what you get to see on the outside. Being mindful of ingesting fresh, healthy foods can make all the difference and leave you with the one beauty feature you’ve been craving all your life: a radiant complexion.

the ultimate skin boosting salad 500x300

This scrumptious salad is rich in antioxidants and is sure to get you glowing.

What you need:

  • 2 handfuls of Rocket Leaves
  • 2 handfuls of Spinach Leaves
  • 1 grated Carrot
  • 2 sliced Radishes
  • 2 sliced Cucumber
  • 1 thinly sliced Onion
  • ½ Avocado
  • 1 tablespoon of Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 3 juiced Limes
  • A pinch of Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon of Honey
  • Fresh Coriander, Basil and Dill for seasoning
  • 1 pinch of Sea Salt

How to whip it together
Soak up the onions with the lime juice for at least ten minutes. The longer you let it saturate, the sweeter, softer and pinker will your onions be. Always a plus!

Scoop out the seeds from your cucumber and throw them in the blender. Chop up the remainder of your cucumbers. Now, throw in your veggies in a large bowl (leafy greens, cucumber, radish, carrots). Add in the onions as well.

High in sulphur—a beautifying mineral, onions and rocket leaves will cleanse your liver and skin. What’s more—radishes and cucumber are high in silica, which moisturises not just your skin but also your hair and nails.

Put all the left over lime juice in the blender as well, along with the pepper, honey, vinegar, avocado, herbs and salt. Add in some water to get that desired texture. Blend. Blend. Blend.

Layer up your salad generously with this deliciously healthy dressing and eat away to anti-oxidant heaven!
