Makeup hacks to get a dewy finish using your matte foundation

Women and their many moods! One day we want our foundation to have a matte finish and the next day, dewy. Other than on occasions, it also depends on the weather, you may want a matte foundation during summer and monsoon but a dewy one in winter. Or maybe you recently bought a foundation and found it too dry for your skin.

Whatever your reason is, we know you’re here to know how to make your matte foundation look ultra-dewy. There are some really easy tricks we’ve been saving up for you and since winter is just around the corner, we thought it the right time to reveal them.

Liquid highlighter

Wet your makeup sponge

Most women either use a makeup brush or their fingers to apply foundation, while this is completely alright, a makeup sponge can totally change the look of your base. Makeup sponges can be used both wet and dry, however, a wet makeup sponge not only absorbs less makeup and gives an even finish but it also gives you a dewy base.

Liquid highlighter

Argan oil

Rightly called liquid gold, we know how Argan oil is beneficial for the skin. And guess what, it can easily give your skin a dewy and glowy look without making it too greasy. Simply take a few drops of liquid foundation on the back of your hand and mix a few drops of the Lakmé Absolute Argan Oil Radiance Overnight Oil-in-Serum into it. Apply all over face and neck and blend well to get a natural looking dewy look.

Another neat little trick is to mix a few drops of a liquid highlighter into your foundation. Make sure the textures of the two products match, otherwise it will pill. This will give you a lit-from-within glow and if your foundation is a bit drying on your skin, will rectify that problem as well.
