Theme: An ode to today's bride and her entourage of bridesmaids who want to have fun at the wedding.

Ambience: The off-site show was decorated with blooms, leaves and creepers conjuring visuals of a modern-day wedding. The canopies of florals complemented the botanical prints and embroideries on the creations too. A beautiful water fountain in the centre embellished with blooms added to the drama.

Beauty: Slick poker-straight hair and classic nude make up was accented by bright pink lips. Since the outfits were quite statement-making, the hair and make up was quite pared down.

What we loved:
The crop tops embellished with gold embellished jaal work paired with lehenga skirts, which had bloom motifs were stunning. Off-shoulder tops, voluminous skirts with contrasting floral prints and sequined blouses added to the festive finish.
Resham threadwork, clustered sequins and intricate hand embroidery stood out and so did jacket-sari and draped dupattas on contemporary anarkalis. Crafted in silks, sheer net and lace; in hues of pure white, baby pink, lime green, lilac, champagne nude, metallic grey and honey mustard, the ensembles brought to mind a destination wedding.

Menswear saw a lot of maroon and wine-toned sherwanis and bandhgalas accented with embroidered silk scarves - clearly meant for the groom, who enjoys attention. As the show ended there was a petal shower leaving the audience enthralled.

What was missing: The designer needs to look beyond crop tops, lehenga skirts and capes, which have been doing the rounds for the last so many seasons and explore newer silhouettes and styles.

Showstopper: Shraddha Kapoor sizzled in nude-toned crop top, which had botanical applique embroidery and a red neckline. She paired the statement-making top with a black lehenga skirt, which had gold accents. Centre-parted, poker straight hair and classic make-up added to the great finish. Sushant Singh Rajput wore a double-breasted bandhgala, which had a metallic brooch accent and completed his look with a pair of Jodhpur breeches and suede loafers.
Front row: Shilpa Shetty Kundra, Neha Dhupia, Dia Mirza and Sushmita Sen.
