Having left his heart back home in Sicily, Dolce's designs and aesthetics are recognizable with a mark of distinction as he takes inspiration from back home. He says, "People in Sicily can be proud and noble even if they aren't rich. Every Sunday they put on their most beautiful clothes and walk in them, even if they are the only ones. They are bright evidence that elegance can’t be shaped."

Together, their vision for the Dolce & Gabbana woman is strong. She is a cosmopolitan woman who likes herself and knows that she is liked. She has travelled the world but hasn’t forgotten her roots. She is feminine and sexy; a mother, wife and lover, but deep at heart, she will always, thoroughly and wholly be a woman.

Having a long list of celeb clientele, with the likes of Nicole Kidman, Kylie Minogue and Monica Bellucci swearing by the label, Dolce & Gabbana first came to be recognized when Madonna endorsed one of their shirts in her movie ‘Truth or Dare: In Bed With Madonna,’ that created all the rage.

Later, in an attempt to expand themselves from being just a label to a brand family, they launched the D&G diffusion label for the youth (1994-2011), bridal collections, beachwear collections, and even a colour cosmetics range featuring Scarlett Johansson in the sultriest tribute to Marilyn Monroe.

With their trademark of innerwear worn as outerwear, and their celebration of womanhood even if in a close fitted white T-shirt, Dolce & Gabbana is a label best known for making women look like heartbreakers and for making stars look like stars.
