Theme: The elements—Earth, Water, Wind and Fire
Ambience: The Mehboob Studio set was decorated with white birds and trees transporting us to a fairy-tale, enchanted forest.

Highlights: The Manish Malhotra buyer always admires his single-mindedly pretty aesthetic and looks for that cinematic whimsy. Think lots of sheer tulle, jewel-toned silks and a pastel haze. This time too, Bollywood's favourite couturier stuck to his familiar territory—placement oriented surface ornamentation, floral applique embroidery with a lot of frothy layering in ensembles.
The opening look was a champagne toned gown with icy blue floral accents on the bust and the waist. The designer showcased the now on-trend crop tops with peplum accents, which were paired with lehenga skirts. The sheer trains billowing on the back of the garments gave them a dramatic feel. The focus seemed to be on the shoulder and the designer flashed the shoulder cups in most of his looks, be it the off-shoulder tops, one-shoulder gowns or kaftans. He also mixed stripes with florals and played with tones of salmon pink, canary yellow, festive gold and champagne.

The menswear was comparatively understated in a palette of gold and periwinkle blue. There were double breasted kurtas paired with ivory tailored pants, which gave the show an old world feel. Some of the menswear ensembles were layered with colour blocked stoles. A kurta, which was layered with a striped sherwani with a high low hemline stood out.

What caught our attention: A floral off-shoulder crop top paired with a tiered colour-blocked striped lehenga and solid jumpsuit with cape sleeves.
Beauty: Make-up maven Namrata Soni opted for centre-parted sleek hair and exaggerated spidery eyelashes and kept the lip soft pink and highlighted the dewy skin. On the whole, the make-up was classic and minimal since the outfits were statement-making in themselves.

Showstoppers: Arjun Kapoor looked dapper in a kurta pyjama look, which he layered with a jewel-toned blazer while Jacqueline Fernandez was a vision in a champagne toned embellished gown which had a voluminous net overlay.
FRowing: The designer always manages to pull off a power-packed front row and this time was no surprise. Kareena Kapoor Khan, Nita Ambani with daughter Isha, Bhumi Pednekar, Natasha Poonawalla, Gauri Pohoomul and Sooraj Pancholi cheered loudly as the designer took a bow.
