Since her first runway show for Desigual at New York Fashion Week, there has been no looking back. She has gone on to walk the ramp for the renowned names of Chanel, Marc Jacobs and Balmain amongst many others. As if there weren’t enough feathers in her cap, her social media standing is massive with Gigi Hadid’s Instagram channel alone having over 10 million followers.
The editorial space hasn’t been devoid of Gigi either with her now-famous face in the editorials for Vogue, Elle, Paper and Grazia while she has gone on to cover Harper Bazaar’s beauty magazine and Teen Vogue. And that’s just the modelling world. The newest Victoria’s Secret angel has broken away from the space of a traditional model and starred in music videos for Cody Simpson, Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris while being the face of beauty, swimwear and luxury brands galore.
But the innumerable editorial spreads and ramp walks aren’t the only places where Gigi struts her style. To her, even street walks and pavements are her own runway as Hadid’s street style is highly covetable. With a sense of personal style that has the essence of a model off-duty, Gigi has a way of making even the most casual of pieces look groomed and poised. She has got the Southern California look hands down with the blonde waves, the sunkissed skin and athletic body.
