Just like every trend that made a comeback, chokers are no different. So you won't be surprised if we told you this trend dates back to the days of Mick Jagger and John Lennon, who, in fact, matched his with wife Yoko Ono.

Iggy Pop did it too, but in a way more rebellious fashion—bare chested, wearing metallic gloves and strapping a buckled leather belt around his neck, that too in red, like nobody's business.

It was when One Direction’s heartthrob Harry Styles wore one on his first solo spread for Another Man magazine, that it stirred the water—making Directioners and non-Directioners alike, wonder if it was possible to have men in chokers?

Well, time did tell! For runways all over the world soon had men walking wearing chokers, with high fashion houses like Gucci and Louis Vuitton backing its legitimacy. So yes, chokers on men was a real thing.

E-retailer ASOS, only took it further by launching an exclusive line of chokers designed for men (yes, they have the buckled belt too) creating quite the frenzy on whether to call it a trend—or shenanigans?
