To get rid of dead skin cells, mix 2 portions of yogurt with 1 potion of ground oats into a paste. Massage the paste onto your skin in circular motions and rinse off with cold water. You can even replace the oats with rice powder if you’re challenged with stubborn white and black heads.

Curd for blemishes and scars
Do you know that yogurt is naturally rich in zinc, a mineral that helps to deal with skin tans and lighten blemishes and scars? That probably makes curd, an already recommended food for the summer months, an essential even when it comes to the summer beauty routine.

Curd as a skin lightening agent
If you’re dealing with discoloured skin or a skin tan, add a few drops of lemon juice to 2 tablespoons of yogurt and make it into a paste. Apply it on your skin and leave it on for about half an hour. Thanks to the mild bleaching abilities of yogurt, your skin should regain its original skin tone after a few applications.

Curd for your hair
Like we said earlier, curd has both zinc as well as protein, both of which are essential for your hair’s health. While zinc stimulates blood circulation to your scalp, protein (what actually makes up your hair) is essential to give your hair its body and strength.

Curd as a conditioner
To give your hair some natural conditioning, blend a cup of curd into a smooth paste and apply it all over your hair and scalp. Wrap a towel around it and let it sit for about 20 minutes. Wash it off with regular shampoo. You’ll notice that your hair is shinier and feels much smoother.
