To soothe dry hands
Not too handy when you're on the go, but you can use coconut oil at home to soothe dry, parched hands. Not only is it an emollient but it's also rich in antioxidants. You will feel a change in your hands since they'll feel softer and retain moisture for longer.

Swap it with your shaving cream
If you (like me!), find it tedious to keep up with waxing appointments, try to shave a small patch with coconut oil. Yes, switching it with shaving creams, which are full of chemicals is a better option. Why? It's antibacterial and anti-microbial in nature, it is better than a foaming agent and helps avoid infections altogether.

Use it as an eye makeup remover
Don't spend time and energy rubbing your eyes with a makeup remover. Instead, put a little coconut oil on a cotton swab and gently sweep it over your eyes. The oil breaks down waxy, mineral and waterproof makeup. Then, wash your face as usual.

In a yummy body scrub
Exfoliate dead skin cells at home with your own home-made scrub. If you think about it, it's inexpensive, and doesn't have chemicals whose names you cannot pronounce. Warm 1/2 cup of coconut oil on very low heat. Pour it over 1 cup of brown sugar or salt and stir well. Apply, exfoliate and say hello to happy skin!

For some ‘me’ time
Need a little bit of 'me' time at home? We have just the thing for you. Most branded massage oils use coconut or jojoba oil as their base. Add in a few drops of your favourite essential oil (vanilla/lavender) and slather all over body for a rejuvenating, express massage.
