You’ve picked up the prettiest NYE outfit, put together a complementing makeup look, and thrown in a few accessories to pull the look together. But have you thought about your hair yet? Here are five hairstyles you can create in under five minutes this New Year’s Eve.
01. Loose curls

One of the easiest ways to curl your hair without heat is to braid them a night before the occasion. Start by combing your hair to remove tangles, and twist your locks into a standard braid. 02. Romantic waves

If you have straight hair, this is it for you. Part your hair in the middle, and section it into two equally-thick parts. Start by working on one of the pieces at the front. Grab the section with a straightener, flip the tool away from your face, and work your way down to the rest of the length. Continue doing this for the rest of your hair. If the waves are a little too defined for you, just brush them a bit, towards the end.
03. Braided ponytail
Up the glam quotient of your look with a braided ponytail. A much more glamorous iteration of your oiled-up braids from school, this look is soft, neat, and elegant. Gather your hair back into a sky-high ponytail and secure it with an elastic. Section it into three parts, and start braiding them into a conventional braid. Pull out a few face-framing layers to define your face.
04. Half updo bun

05. Half ponytail

Gather the top layer of your hair around the crown, and secure the section with an elastic below the centre of your head. Pull out the sides of the hair just a little to loosen the look. Proceed to lift your ponytail — an inch or two — for some volume, and slide two bobby pins through your elastic diagonally so they criss-cross each other. Slip a ribbon under the ponytail. Make sure that the length is the same on both sides, wrap them around one another like you tie a shoe, and conclude with a ribbon.
