Even though the beginning of 2022 is giving us major 2020 feels, we must indulge in little acts of self-care to disrupt the humdrum of everyday life. And, for team BB, self-care is synonymous with makeup. Reel in the new year by putting together a dramatic ensemble complemented by this flawless but quick makeup routine. While you're at it, snap a few photos of yourself for your Instagram.
- 01. Cleanse your face
- 02. Mix your moisturiser with foundation
- 03. Stain your lips and cheeks
- 04. Leave some room for highlight
- 05. Add volume to your lashes
01. Cleanse your face

Cleanse your skin before you start doing your makeup. This step eliminates dirt, impurities, oils, and residual product from your skin. You can use the Simple Kind to Skin Micellar Cleansing Water for this step. Apart from cleansing, this vitamin B3, vitamin C, and triple purified water-containing formula boosts skin hydration by 90%!
02. Mix your moisturiser with foundation

Pack a punch by mixing your go-to moisturiser with your favourite foundation to dive right into your makeup. This is perfect for a dewy, lightweight finish. Just add a pea-sized drop of both the formulas on your palm, and start blending them into one another. Keep adjusting the proportions until you’re satisfied with the coverage.
03. Stain your lips and cheeks

While you’re perfecting your puckered pout, dab a little bit of your lipstick on your cheeks instead of tearing apart your makeup pouch for blush and brush. Apply the product on the apples of your cheeks with your fingers. The matte-textured Lakmé Absolute Precision Lip Paint doubles as a lipstick and liner. And since it's so velvety and pigmented, it works great as a blush too.
04. Leave some room for highlight

It’s time to accentuate your best features with a highlighter. Grab a liquid highlighter like the Lakmé Absolute Liquid Highlighter, and sweep it on your cheeks, cupid’s bow, and on the tip of your nose for a goddess-worthy glow.
05. Add volume to your lashes

Since you’re not going all crazy with your eyes, accentuate them with a volumising mascara like the Lakmé Eyeconic Volume Mascara. And if you don’t have an eyebrow pencil, just use the wand to brush your eyebrows a little.
