Want to know how to ace that summer wedding guest makeup look? Here’s your guide on how to achieve it.
No one can deny the fact that Indian weddings are fascinating. These weddings are often unmatched when it comes to their level of glamour and grandeur, from bright and colourful outfits to mouth-watering food. There are hundreds of wedding photos taken at one of these weddings, and as a guest at this wedding, you want to look your best, but you also do not want to go overboard. For those of you who could not come up with the perfect makeup look for a wedding guest, here are 3 summer wedding guest makeup looks for you to rock any upcoming wedding!
3 Summer Wedding Guest Makeup Looks
1. Muted rosy pink makeup

- Start by applying a primer, foundation, concealer, loose powder or compact powder, and contour your forehead, nose, jawline, and the hollows of your cheekbones using a bronzer. Use Lakmé Absolute Blur Perfect Primer to blur out your pores and create a smooth canvas.

Then, fill in your brows.
Take a muted nude blush shade and apply it on your cheekbones. The Lakmé Absolute Face Stylist Blush Duos in the shade Rose Blush comes with 2 different blush shades so you can choose your favourite or mix them both.
Take a highlighter and apply it at the highest points of your face – your cheekbones, bridge of your nose, and under your browbones. Lakmé Absolute Liquid Highlighter in the variant Rose Gold is the perfect match to create this rosy look!
For the application of eyeshadow, start with using a warm nude shade for the upper eyelid, brow bone and outer corners of the eyes.
Using a darker brown shade, blend the crease, brow bone, and outer corner of the eye. Make sure to leave the brow bone area bare, and finish the eyelids with a muted plum shade. Apply shimmer to the upper lid. Lakmé 9to5 Eye Color Quartet Eye Shadow - Desert Rose helps you achieve this look the best!
Lastly, apply 2 coats of mascara. Lakmé Eyeconic Curling Mascara gives you fluttery, voluminous lashes to rock your look. If you wish to amp up your look, apply false lashes.
Start by outlining your lips with a pink shade, such as the Lakmé Absolute 3D Lip Definer - Salmon, and apply a matching lip shade, like the Lakmé Absolute 3D Lipstick – Elegant Pink.
By using lip liner, you can make your lips appear bigger. Be careful not to go overboard so you don't appear to have lips bigger than you actually have.
2. Bold red lips for the win

- For this look, start by applying a primer and foundation. Then apply a concealer under your eyes to cancel out any pigmentation and brighten the area. You can also use it on other areas of your face if needed. We suggest using Lakmé 9to5 Primer+Matte Liquid Concealer.
Use a loose powder or compact powder set your face. You can use the Lakme Absolute White Intense Wet and Dry Compact to set your base and add glow.
Fill in your brows. Remember to begin with light hands so you don’t go overboard.
Contour your forehead, nose, and cheekbones using a bronzer.
Take a red lip liner and outline your lips. Then fill them in with dark red lipstick. We suggest using this combo of Lakmé Absolute 3D Lip Definer - Ruby and Lakmé Absolute 3D Matte Lip Color – Red Carnival.

- Apply brown eyeshadow all over your eyelids. Then, take a golden shimmer shade and apply it only to the inner half of your eye and inner corners. This Lakmé Absolute Infinity Eyeshadow Palette - Soft Nudes has all your everyday shades of browns and pinks that can never go wrong!
Use a kohl in your lower lash line and use a tiny eyeshadow brush to smudge it out to get a smokey effect. This new Lakmé Absolute Kohl Ultimate - Black lasts up to 16 hours so you can dance your heart out!
Using a highlighter, highlight the highest points on your face.
Paint your nails using a glittery shade and you’re all set to rock your look! The Lakmé Color Crush Nail Art – P2 is a beautiful silver glitter shade that will make you stand out from the crowd!
3. Bright catchy eyes
If you’re someone who loves to play with colours, this look is for you!
Start with the basic steps by applying a primer, foundation, concealer, and compact/loose powder.
Next, fill in your brows. Remember to not go overboard.
You can choose to skip this step, but if you’re fond of freckles, here you go! Take an old black pen or a black eyeshadow and using a toothpick, make tiny dots on your cheekbones and nose that would resemble freckles.
Use a muted nude blush to apply to the apples of your cheeks. We recommend using the Lakmé Absolute Face Stylist Blush Duos – Coral Blush.
Then comes the eyes. Start your base with a light colour, preferably light nude. Then, take a dark brownish peach shade and apply it all over your eyelids and brow bone.
Take a bright yellow colour. Using an eyeliner brush apply it to your upper lash line as a liner. Apply the same shade to your inner corners as well. Take a greyish brown shade and apply it to your lower lash line.
Then, take a dark green shade and apply it to your lower lash line. Make sure to blend both the colours.
Take a kohl pencil and apply it to your upper and lower lash line very light-handedly.

Take a brown lip liner and outline your lips. Fill it in using brown lipstick. We suggest using the combo of Lakmé Absolute 3D Lip Definer – Rouge and Lakmé Absolute 3D Matte Lip Color – British Brown.
Apply mascara to your lashes and if you wish to go OTT, apply some falsies. This Lakmé Eyeconic Curling Mascara – Black lets you create dramatic eye looks by curling and lengthening your eyelashes.

Things to keep in mind while doing your makeup
Make sure to use a foundation that exactly matches your skin tone. Don’t opt for a lighter shade since it can make you look washed out or greyish. If your foundation shade is 1 or 2 shades darker than your skin tone, take a lighter concealer and mix them both to create your own foundation shade that exactly matches your skin tone. We recommend using Lakmé 9 To 5 Primer + Matte Perfect Cover Foundation that stays put on your face all throughout the day so you can have the best time!
Don’t forget to blend the foundation well using a foundation brush or a beauty blender. Unblended makeup looks patchy and streaky, and we obviously don’t want that!
Use false eyelashes if you’re keen to take your eye makeup game to another level! Add this drama to your lashes since it would make them look bigger and fuller.
Go all out with your highlighter since Indian weddings are all about shine, sparkle, and glitter!
Lastly, don’t forget to paint your nails to make sure your wedding look looks all put together. You can match your nails with the colour of your outfit to make them look classy and extra polished!
We hope this has helped you to achieve your desired look. Now go look your best and break a leg!
