As fashion's biggest month is in full swing, a floral bloom at the Rosie Assoulin show caught our attention at New York Fashion Week. Weeks later, we saw yet another flourishing of florets at the Preen by Thornton Bregazzi at London Fashion Week. There in all its floral glory, were flowers decorating the skin over the face and the neck.

With the current fashion weeks showcasing for next spring, it's no wonder that the blooms took over the global ramps. In fact, the fascinating beauty looks created such a furore at the shows; they won the attention over the garments on display! Soon after the latest makeup trend – the face flower hit the runway, it was swooned over and recreated over social media rather swiftly.

And it isn't just a bunch of floral accessories spread over the face. The floral trend involves placement around strategic areas of the lips, forehead and neck, creating an effervescent effect, whether it is on the ramp or at a music festival. While it may be impractical, the face flower trend is all that's needed for a whimsical beauty statement. Miranda Priestly may not agree but these florals for spring certainly are ground breaking.
