With that single statement, she’s already got you curious.

Poker straight platinum blonde hair, eyeliner OD and perma-tanned skin was a signature look Donatella adopted when she took over from brother Versace. Today, at 61, she still nails that smokey eye better than us.

Versace came to become the powerhouse label that it is today, thanks to Donatella’s clique of Hollywood glamazons that included all the power ladies from Madonna, J.Lo, Beyonce to Liz Hurley and Lady Gaga too.

Versace’s designs aren’t for the faint-hearted. They’re stirring, thought-provoking, scandalous and far far away from being conservative. The world got its first glimpse when J.Lo hit the red carpet in a deep cut ‘jungle’ green sheer gown that left very, very little to the imagination. Such that, it went on to be called the ‘Dress of the Year’ in 2000.

Over the years, the bright colours, the skin-baring and the slinky silhouettes have sobered down, just as Donatella herself, bringing the brand’s image to a more sensual one from that of a sexy predator.

Donatella’s vision for Versace’s recent collaboration with the fast-fashion giant H&M was everything on point, with its bright colours and metallic embellishments, when pandering to the young rebels that aren’t shy or apologetic and have the courage to speak their minds out.
