What are splash masks?

Originating in where else but the home of K-beauty i.e. South Korea, this skin care trend is a quickie mask when you’re in a rush. So if you’d like to see the results of a 30 minute face mask without actually spending that amount of time on it, you’ll love a splash mask. They are inspired by the Asian bathhouse tradition and are literally splashed on the face, which is where the trend gets its name from.
How do they work?

Although you may wonder how effective just a splash of product can be for the skin, don’t be fooled by the short amount of time that this face mask needs. Like any ordinary mask, different variants are targeted for different skin concerns. The mask itself is of a runny consistency which is choc-o-block with potent ingredients like moisturising glycerin, exfoliating lactic acid and purifying anti-oxidants. Together, the potent formula revitalizes the face, all in a matter of 20 seconds.
How do you use them?

As it requires a particular technique, here’s what you must do to get the fresh, healthy skin from your splash mask.
Method 1 – A time saving trick to use a splash mask is to do it while in the shower. On a wet face, take a palm’s worth of the potion and pour it over your face. Pat it all over your face for 20 seconds. Then turn on the shower and wash it off!
Method 2 – Dilute one cap of the splash mask potion in half a cup of water. Then apply the mixture over your face and pat in gently into your skin for 20 seconds. Let it air dry and wash it off with cold water.
