MUMBAI OPENS ITS DOORS TO STUNNING COUTURE
Every new launch brings with a lot of excitement and the hope of banishing all our fashion woes. So, when we heard that 24 established designers decided to come together under one roof, tucked away in a plush suburban corner, offering their customers personal atelier-like service, we just had to be there to see what the fuss was about.

Established by Vijayta V Gandhi and Parth M Sanghavi, DVAR is a one-of-a-kind design house and its specialty lies in bringing together noted couturiers like Amit GT, Charu Parashar, Siddhartha Tytler and Aarti Vijuy Gupta. Spread across 1500 sq. ft., it has a unique wall for each of its designers. One of the boutique’s sections has been given an antique décor, specially curated by Ramola Bachchan.

What does DVAR offer to the fashion aficionado? Everything from ornate lehengas and anarkalis to scintillating semi-precious jewelry and an exclusive footwear collection by Vidhi Kejriwal.

The launch had in attendance some noted celebrities and socialities of B-Town such as Jaya Bachchan and Aarti Surendranath, to name a few.

Changing my career to fashion at the age of 27 was a risk that I'm glad I took! I don't think there is any substitute for hard work. I can be overly shy and self conscious one day and feel like I can conquer the world the next. You have to try my caramel pudding and chicken soup and don't even dare playing charades with me—I'm super competitive. I love what I do and am always looking for a way to take it up a notch!
