MAKE A DIY HDD CASE IN UNDER 20 MINUTES
While we might love our gadgets just as much as men do, a common observation would be that they tend to take care of them a lot more than us. So, in order to take a step in the direction of doing away with these stereotypes, here’s our quick DIY guide to making your own Hard Disk Drive case.

You will need:
Cloth felt in two contrasting colours. (We used our brown in a 12”x 8” and our yellow in a 0.5” x 7” strip).
Needle and thread.

To make your case
Take your big felt sheet and fold it along the length so that either ends are lined together.
Hold it in place with paper clips.
Start stitching your case in place from the base all the way through to one side.
We used the overcast stich to secure our case in place but if you’re not a pro in the needle and thread department,a running stitch done close to the edge of your felt sheet will work just as well.

To give your pouch a cover, mark an inch on the top of one side.
Cut off 3/4th of an inch and stich the remaining 1/4thoutwards to the case.
With the other side that remains, cut it into a trapezium by shedding off two triangles from each side. Now turn your case inside out such that all the stitching goes on the inner side. That’s your HDD case!

To hold your cover in place, cut a 0.5” x 7” strip in a contrasting colour.
Place it half an inch away from the mouth of your case and stich the edges to either end.
