NAMRATA JOSHIPURA'S IRIDESCENT COLLECTION STEALS THE SHOW AT LFW
Surface texturing and embellishments have been Namrata Joshipura's strength, and this time, she took her penchant for ornamentation to a new level with the use of 3D sequins and metallics woven into the fabrics. Taking inspiration from Lakmé’s latest skin care innovation— Lakmé Insta Light—the line gloried, thanks to the glow and sparkle.

Ambience

The gleaming black ramp was lit with iridescent lights complementing the shimmery bodysuits and gowns.

Music

The high-octane music was definitely the high point of the show and set the tone for the show as well as captured the modernity and sheer sexiness of Namrata’s creations.

Choreography

Stunningly choreographed, NJ's phalanx of girls strutted down in metallic heels like goddesses on an enchanted night.

Makeup and hair

Girls had glitter lips and hair slickly pulled back, accented with metallic crystal hair clips that added to the goddess allure.

What we loved about the show…

Iridescence and shine were the primary elements of the show, and surface embellishments and an interesting selection of fabrics made the line sharp, sexy and current. There wasn't a girl in the audience who wouldn't want to wear the rock-tastic gowns, swimsuits and print separates.

Batwing-printed covers, dolman sleeve tops, asymmetric long-sleeved printed wraps, drop-waist dresses and shimmering racer-back tops added to the conceptually playful vibe. Besides, there were white, crushed asymmetric coats, silverwork on pencil skirts and micro shorts layered with tulle skirts.

The pleasing palate-cleansing shades of white, pastel blue and purple on holographic fabrics stood out thanks to the metallic strips weaving.

Who's the Namrata Joshipura woman?

She's the metaphor for glamour and can never be overshadowed. She's not shy about wearing metallic ensembles from head to toe and walks the thin line between feminine and sensuous.

What could have been better…

Wish we had seen more of minimal separates with faint embellishments that can be worn every day.

Showstopper

Shraddha Kapoor shed her coy, girl-next-door demeanour, transforming herself into a glamazon in a sequinned sheath jumpsuit, and taking to the ramp with confidence.
