STILL SINGLE ON VALENTINE’S? THESE DATING APPS ARE HERE TO HELP
From shopping online to reading on the Kindle, we’ve come a long way. While our parents look for prospective matches on matrimonial sites, all of us have used the internet to “research” people of interest, boyfriends, partners. And now, when there’s an app for everything, the dating game has changed as well (Hello, Tinder!) Here are 3 dating apps you or may or may not know about and our take on each…

dating apps

Woo

What we like: Scoring high on security and privacy, this newly launched app is rapidly gaining popularity.
The app works by pulling data from your Facebook profile and then verifying it for credibility. The app also doesn’t permit users to create profiles on Woo alone or alter their information (profile photo etc.) once they have registered.

What we don’t: The app is free for the first 30 days post registration, after which users have to pay Rs.250 per month if they wish to continue using it. However, it also allows you a lifetime pass of Rs. 1500, but frankly, why would someone need a dating app forever?

dating apps

Thrill

What we like: The app comes enabled with an offline chatting feature and a video sharing platform to take dating and communication to the next level. And for all of you who are big fans of emoticons, Thrill has its own set of cool ones as well.

What we don’t: Keeping  safety in mind, Thrill claims to be a women-only user interface where women can easily sign up but men have to register and wait for approval. This limits the potential matches because during this time it’s the developers who are filtering the entries as opposed to the user herself.

dating apps

Desi Crush

What we like: Created specifically for Indian users, Desi Crush helps you find matches in your city and other Indian communities. Sounds like something our parents would definitely approve of.

What we don’t: The registration procedure is a tad longer and the app requests you to fill in several tabs before your profile is created. With so many levels of data, chances are people might just leave it halfway.
