Twisted hairstyles what we are talking about. They are the new kids on the block of the hairstyle world which require very little technique to pull off and are perfect for a casual or formal event. Need anymore convincing? We’d think not! That is reason enough to get your hair in a twist over these spectacularly simple hairstyles with four kinds of twisted updos.
The Gibson Tuck

Start by brushing all your hair to the back and placing an elasticated headband over it. Then, moving from your left to your right, divide the hair into smaller sections. Take each section, flip it upwards and tuck it into the headband, rolling it tightly around the elastic so that the end of the hair doesn’t show. Carry on doing this from left to right and secure each section in place with a bobby pin.
The Rolled Bun
Begin by brushing your hair down flat and tying it into a low loose ponytail towards the nape of your neck. Then open a section between the hair on your head and above the elastic and put the length of the ponytail through it and remove it from the base. Then repeat this step of raising the ponytail above, putting it through the opened section and removing it. Continue to do until the length of your ponytail is tightly rolled at the top. Then use a decorative hair pin to secure in in place.
The Chignon Twist

Divide your hair into 3 sections, vertically from front to back, the midsection and two sections on either side of your head. Then gather your midsection and tie it into a low ponytail and if it falls below the nape of your neck, loop it upwards and pin it in place. Then move to the section of hair on your left hand side. Bring it towards your low bun, twirl it around it and pin it in place. Follow the same steps for the right hand side section and secure any lose ends with bobby pins.
The Knotted Bun
Start by separating two large sections of your hair on either side near your temples. Take the remaining midsection of your hair, twist it around tightly and then tie it in place. Then begin with the section on the left by twisting it tightly till the end and then tucking it into the bun, securing it in place with a bobby pin. Repeat the same step on the section on the right. Secure both the sections within the knots with a decorative pin.
