Wear more tailored clothes
I intend to get more garments tailored this year. I think altering clothes changes their shape in a very non flattering way so I would rather buy fabric myself (I’m a big fan of raw silk) and have it custom-made to match my size and my design.

To actually wear the heels I own
About two years ago, I traded my heels for sneakers. I have pairs from 2013 lying pretty and untouched in my wardrobe only because I haven't mustered the courage to walk in them like a boss. So this will be the year that all that changes. If not anything else then at least for the love of Carrie Bradshaw!

To invest in quality pieces
In 2017 I'm going to shop smarter for garments and accessories that are versatile and fit in with the rest of my closet. I think it makes more sense to invest in a few high-quality pieces rather than 3 paper bags full of machine manufactured clothes.

Regularly edit my closet
I am a compulsive shopper and sometimes, after I clean my cupboard I find clothes I have bought many months ago but never worn. Piling clothes means no breathing room for my garments and can create quite a chaotic situation. Starting 2017, I’d like to edit my closet every two to three months and donate the pieces I am done wearing.

Incorporate more colours
I'm a hoarder of all things black. Jet black, faded black, matte black—you name it, I'll own it. This year, I'd like to expand my colour palette and perhaps add a few deep greens, maroons and murky pinks to my wardrobe. Only earthy tones though. Maybe bright colours will be on my resolutions list for 2018.
